HOW THE KING JAMES BIBLE WAS TRANSLATED

There are a few mis-translations in the King James English, but every word is based upon a Greek word in the Textus Receptus which was given by the inspiration of God, and has been providentially preserved or us today. The method by which it was translated is the reason it is a reliable translation for Spiritual enlightenment.

On July 22, 1604, King James of England announced that he had appointed 54 Hebrew and Greek scholars to  produce a Bible, which we know today as the King James, or Authorized Version. These men were organized into six groups which were to meet separately. Two groups each met at Cambridge University, two at Oxford University, and two at Westminster University. Each group was designated a certain portion of Scripture of the Textus Receptus to translate into the English language.

THE PLAN TO PREVENT POSSIBLE ERRORS

Each scholar first made his own translation, then passed it on to be reviewed by each other member of his group. When each section had completed a book of the Bible, it was sent to the other five groups for their independent criticism. In this way each book went through the hands and minds of the entire body of translators. To guard further against possible errors another committee was formed by selecting two from each of the three companies. Then the entire version came before this select group where all differences of opinion were ironed our. It put the finishing touches upon the entire work. This was a thorough work of organized co-operation where the direction and discernment of the Holy Spirit was desired. The only words added by these scholars are all intentionally in ITALICS font, in their opinion of clarity to the sentences.

ALL LEARNED MEN WERE INVITED TO OBSERVE

The scholars decided if there was any special difficulty of obscurity, all the learned men of the land could be called upon by letter for their judgment. Each bishop kept the clergy of his diocese notified concerning the progress of the work, so that if any one felt constrained to send any particular observation, he was notified to do so.

DIFFERENT APPROACH WITH THE REVISERS OF 1881

The biblical revision committee of 1881 were not transparent with their work. They met together SECRETLY, for Ten years! All revisions of the bible were performed secretly. All historical reports, (Ellicott, Addresees, pg. 56)  state that the "iron-clad" rule of silence was forced upon the Revisers during the ten years. The waiting public was not allowed to review the revisions. The world did not know what had been done by these men. This was to create huge market for the New Revised Bible to promote tremendous sales by elaborate plans to thrust the secret edition upon the public all at once.

The same tactics were used in bringing before the public the Revised Standard Version on September 30, 1952. Pastors and theological scholars had no opportunity to review the new Bible, yet they were told to open their churches for a tremendous advertising campaign.

THE TEXTUS RECEPTUS

The miracle of the Word of God by inspiration is no greater miracle than of its preservation in the Textus Receptus. All criticism of this text, from which was translated the 1611 Version of the King James Bible, is based on unproven hypothesis: i.e., that there are older and more dependable copies of the original Bible manuscripts. NO ONE, in nineteen-hundred years, has been able to prove that one dotting of the I or crossing of the T has been inserted, or taken out. Carnal men created other versions in order to try to set aside the Textus Receptus; which is the more perfect glorious Word of God penned by men under the inspiration of God's Holy Spirit.

Changes made to most Revised Versions of the Bible add up to no less than 5,337 by Westcott's and Hort's Greek Text!

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
Psalms 12:6-7

"For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah  55:10-11

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
Matthew 24:35

GOD HAS PRESERVED THESE VERY SCRIPTURES FOR US IN THE TEXTUS RECEPTUS; AND UNTIL WE GOT A TRUSTWORTHY ENGLISH VERSION BY THE 54 HONEST SCHOLARS OF THE 1611 ENGLISH TRANSLATION ORDERED BY KING JAMES OF ENGLAND IN 1604; who was sitting on the established throne of King David of the Old Testament prophesied to be perpetual down through time..

"And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever."
2 Samuel 7:16
